oh march, you fickle mistress
march and i aren't on speaking terms at the moment. speaking of the moment, she is currently taking a big, white dump on the world outside my window. rewind to last week (or was it the week before? our best of times together seem to fly!) when we were enjoying each others company. she bathed me in her wondrous, warm sunshine while i read aloud to her clear, blue skies. (not really. i'm painting a picture here. go with it.) we were a match made in 67degree weather, the two of us. but then...we started going through a rough patch. her days began getting cooler, so i started distancing myself from my dear, sweet march, staying closed up indoors, at home and at target (my OTHER other one true love). i still let her soft breezes pass through and cool our abode, bringing that undeniable, fresh spring scent with them. but, then she kicked up her heels, tossing some tornado-style winds my way. and i did NOT appreciate that. every morning when i reached for the blind pull, i held my breath. will today be the day i denounce our love affair once and for all? will today be the day march decides she isn't quite ready to relinquish herself to spring; she'll allow winter to linger just a while longer? today, my former friend march answered these questions. and she has, once again, broken my heart with her answers.
