i'm old(er)(ish)

i turned old a week ago today. old as in two away from 30 old. ick. i cannot even bring myself to say or type how old that makes me, and if your math skills aren't up to snuff enough to deduce how old is old, stop reading. i don't want to be your friend anymore.
anyway...
when mor got home from class, we packed up the bebe and headed to our #1 breakfasting destination: the original pancake house. de.lish. of course we could have just split the apple pancake or even the chile verde omelet, but did we? hellck no! we got both. it was my birthday, hello. after stuffing ourselves to the gills, we headed to the aquarium. (when we were in ca last summer, we hit up the aquarium of the pacific in the lbc, but ferguson was a bit too teeny to give a care. so, we thought we'd give it another go.) it was a lot better than the last time we went: the octopus was much MUCH bigger (much too big for his tank even), the stingrays were practically jumping out of the touch tank, the leopard shark seemed to really enjoy scaring the little kids (except our fearless fig) and the new penguin exhibit was pretty rad.
we got home just a few minutes before schiz came over, bearing presents and ready to devour some gourmet cupcakes and mexican street tacos. (i didn't make either. as if you thought i did. ha!) then we tucked ourselves in for some chris pyne. i mean, star trek. (while a tad confusing at times and morgan's incessant "spock has aspergers. don't you think spock has aspergers?" it wasn't too bad.)
after the movie, it was off to bed and some well-deserved (read: demanded) leg tickling. ahh. couldn't have asked for a better day.

almost forgot! roses from my mamajama (and hubs)

  1. I found Morgan's Star Trek comments hysterical. That's the first thing that has made me want to check it out for myself. I'll be heading to the redbox now...
